Yayness and Squee-age.

Gone Batty Crafts' Livejournal!

Friend me if you'd like! I'd love it if you did!

In other news...

Why is it so cloudy today? This is most unusual for the climate, though I'm not complaining.

Hi, I'm a member of psych_slash and saw that you're the mod. I wanted to email you a question, but I couldn't seem to find an email address. Anyway, its_not_wrong and I thought it might be fun to have a fic challenge to have a collection of stories with a similar theme, and maybe encourage more writers to post stories.

She thought maybe a color theme, and along with that I thought mood (red and/or anger, green and/or jealousy, for example).

We just thought it might be fun, please don't think we're trying to impose on your moderator-ship!

No problem, go ahead and post whatever challenge you have! i've been thinking of doing one for a while now, but I'm no good at organizing those kinds of things. lol

Okay. *has friended* ;)

Oh, before I forget, I also wanted to ask you a question. Would you mind if I used any of your icons on Greatest Journal, as long as I gave credit? Thanks.

No problem! :D

Completely random love. I spotted one of your R&G icons on a comment to a House fic and I just HAD to share my love for that. :) I'm currently on a crew for a production of R&G. It truly is an awesome play.
fearless_jones on June 29th, 2007 10:03 pm (UTC)
Oh, wow, I love R&G with all my heart! Is it amazing working on the crew? Tell me more, please!!

It's fun working on this show. I'm the lighting board operator, and I'm happy to be working with a delightful crew. The stage manager is a lot of fun, as is the sound board operator, and our sole run crew member. Most of the cast is friendly.

We extended the run and, because of an actor's conflict, a replacement is going on for The Player tomorrow. I'll miss the first Player, but he has to go off to teach an acting course at Oxford. He's done a marvelous job in the role.

I never saw the show before the first technical rehearsal and, I'll admit, I nearly missed cues because I was laughing so much. I've seen it so many times now that it's lost a little of its initial appeal, but, because it's live theatre, so many things happen differently every performance, so we find new things to enjoy. I'm still particularly fond of certain moments: the beloved Questions scene; the line the Player delivers about "Hamlet, in love with the old man's daughter, the old man thinks"; the lines between R&G about how you "can't not be on a boat."

I'm not sure where you live, but the production is happening in Washington D.C. and, despite some bad reviews from the Post, has been very successful. The theatre is doing it as a part of a year-long "Shakespeare in Washington" festival. Since this particular theatre only produces modern works, this show seemed to fit nicely. The director decided not to stage it as a period piece, but transposed the play into a modern staging - modern costumes, sets, props. It's fun. And a refreshing take, I think.

A picture of Rosencrantz, The Player, and Guildenstern.

Dear mod,
I'm sure you have other things to do with your time, but there's an ongoing... discussion at psych_slash that could use your input. Or at least clarification of rules. Help, please?

Hey there! I found you on YouTube, actually. Within a day or so of repeatedly watching your Psych videos I have answered to my inner slash fan. I also have two movies that I now need to watch because your videos made me curious. Decided to look up your community and then your personal journal, and in general you just seem like a cool person. So, in proper procedure and etiquette, I would like to ask if I could friend you. (I know it says to go ahead but I always ask and say hello and such... especially since I can't tell if you'd made the journal friends only or if it's just not active anymore. ^^;)

Yay, friending! My journal is kinda not active, but I'm gonna start getting back into it, so... YAY, friend away! I shall friend back!
